The Sustainability Compass for SMEs/SMBs is a sensitization tool developed as a quiz for SME/SMB managers. It identifies the sustainability profile of SMEs/SMBs by considering their sustainability practices, both environmental, social, and community-based, and combining them with their entrepreneurial orientation.

The Sustainability Compass is based on international research.

The questions are drawn from the questionnaire “Survey on the Integration of Sustainable Development in the SME/SMB Context: An International Comparison” (2014), which was revised and updated in 2020. This questionnaire was created by Jean-Marie Courrent, François Labelle, and Martine Spence (alphabetical order) and was updated in 2020 by François Labelle.
