Circularity Index Overview

The Circularity Index for SMEs/SMOs is an awareness-raising tool developed in the form of a quiz designed for SME/SMO leaders. It helps identify the sustainability profile of SMEs/SMOs by considering their environmental, social, and community sustainability practices, combined with their entrepreneurial orientation.

About us

This website provides information and research on social responsibility and sustainable development for Small and Medium-sized Organizations (SMOs).

Launched in 2014 by Professors François Labelle and Thang Le Dinh of the Institute for Research on SMEs (InRPME) at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR), Vigie-PME offers accessible diagnostic and benchmarking tools for SMOs seeking to learn more about social responsibility and sustainable development tailored to their context. These tools are developed using the latest scientific advancements in these fields, facilitating knowledge transfer from research to practice.

Our team

François Labelle

Full Professor

François Labelle is a full professor of strategic management at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières and a senior researcher at the Institut de recherche sur les PME (INRPME). His research focuses on sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and performance in SMEs. He leads the Vigie-PME initiative and directs the Laboratory for Research on Sustainable Development in the SME context.

Thang Le Dinh

Full Professor

Thang Le Dinh is a professor in the Department of Marketing and Information Systems at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. He holds a Ph.D. in Economic and Social Sciences with a specialization in Information Systems from the University of Geneva. His expertise encompasses service science, knowledge management, enterprise systems, digital transformation, and e-collaboration.​

Thi Chau Giang Tran

Postdoctoral Researcher

Giang T.C. Tran is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Quebec in Trois-Rivières, specializing in the application of AI to improve and enhance IS. She completed her Ph.D. in CS at Chung-Ang University (2023) and holds a B.S. (with honors) in Management Information Systems from Da Nang University of Economics (2019). Her research utilizes data mining, machine learning, and logical reasoning techniques.
